台北行 Day 5, Part 2 - 士林夜市

After Small World, we decided to visit the night market of Taipei, Shi Lin 士林夜市。We had planned to visit it earlier, but for the past few days, the kids were so tired by evening time, so it had to be pushed back. Today, the kids looked like they were still going strong, so we asked our driver to dropped us at the night market after Small World.
The must order dishes for Sarah, fish balls and noodles or vermicelli. As we were early, we managed to avoid the dinner crowd.
That's the queue for the Shilin legendary 豪大大雞排,fried chicken cutlet. Did not try it this time as we did not feel like queueing.
After dinner, we walked further down into the shopping area.
饒河街夜市名產,福州胡椒餅。An unexpected find, Rao He Night Market's famous pepper dough. We had planned to visit Rao He just for this. Bought two of it to try. Quite nice but there was no QC, the first one had only half the fillings so I was eating the dough most of the time, wonder what's the fuss about. The second one with the normal fillings was tasty.
Mama found something digusting to eat and she was happily queueing for it.
This stall is selling salted chicken parts.
Everything you can find in a chicken is broken down into individual parts and sold by pieces. The chicken shop of horror!
We found a gaming stall by one of the side lane that has guppy fishing.
Paid TWD $40 for 10 minute of fun for Sarah.
She was very pleased with herself as she managed to caught a pail-ful of fish, all by herself.
沾沾自喜。
She got a 風水 spot, the fish were all hiding in her corner.
一網打盡!
Before we left, we emptied the pail and let all the fish back into the tank.
Back at the hotel, this was what Mama bought earlier. Gross?
藥燉肋骨,from a self-proclaimed 40 year old shop in Shi Lin. Nowhere as nice as what we tried on the first night!
