CNY Eve

We went over to 奶奶's place on CNY eve to have reunion dinner with her and 爷爷. This year, 姨婆 Margaret and 姨姨 Jennifer joined us as well.

Spending time with the doggies before the dinner started, she grow distant from the dogs after shifting out, now she is afraid to feed them from her palm.

On the contrary, Archie who used to cry whenever the doggies bark, is curious about them and always want to get close. He is letting Archie kiss his face.

Our CNY eve dinner began with the delicious 鱼生 which 姨婆 went all the way to Mei-ya to get. After which we sat down and had steamboat together.

奶奶 treated all of us to a pre reunion dinner at Orchid Country Club.

Reunion Brunch & Uncle Nic's Birthday 2011

Continuation from the previous post, after we managed to drag the kids out of the house, we went to Teochew City to meet up with the rest. Beside being a reunion brunch, it was also to celebrate Uncle Nic's birthday!

Sarah got excited by the 鱼生, she mistook the colourful carrot slices as noodle, so she couldn't wait to dig in!

Our first ‘撈起’ (low hei) for CNY 2011.

The posture/technique was not perfect, but she managed to do the job, that is, to get the food into the mouth!

Archie got a taste of 鱼生 as well.

After which the kids went off for a breather at the party shop next door. Archie boy got excited to see so many balloons and he was laughing hysterically when 姨姨 let played with it.

Sarah is a balloon lover too.

We managed to get the kids out of the shop, by paying ransoms for the balloons to be released to them, to make it back for the birthday cake.

Getting ready for reunion brunch, 2011

Got up early on saturday morning as we had a reunion lunch with Grand Uncle Alan's family, Grand Aunt Margaret and Aunt Jen.
