The Strength of Sarah Yau

When we refused to help her unzip the casing containing her favourite dvds, she turned green and tore it open.

Rash attack!

While on the way back home after visiting Great Grand Ma on Sunday, we noticed Sarah scratching her chin area non-stop. On closer look, we saw a red patch and some dots.
By night fall, the rashes had spread all over her upper body, particularly concentrated on both her upper limbs and front torso. She felt uncomfortable and itchy,  woke up a few times in the middle of the night crying. We managed to calm her down by spreading some prickly heat powder on her to soothe her itchiness.

The next morning, Mama decided to bathe her before going to the clinic so that she would feel more comfortable. When she saw the red dots over her body, she was visibly upset over it.

Pouting her way to the clinic.
The PD diagnosed her red dots as an allergic reaction. The exact cause was unknown, could have ben the otah,  the friendly neighbourhood dog, or others. Our whole family bar Archie had the same allergic reaction as her, but her outbreak was the worst.

She was not in the best of mood the whole morning. Upset over her body and over the visit to the clinic, as she fears injection after her rounds of vaccinations.

When we brought her to school, after the PD gave the clearance. She stood there pouting while Mama was explaining to the teachers about her situation. She broke down and cried in the middle of it all, she understood what Mama was talking about and felt lousy about herself.

Thankfully a day of medication, the rashes have subsided, not as red but still visible.

Beach Rd

Brought the kids on Sunday, to Beach Rd to pay a visit to great grandma, she has yet to see Archie as she has difficulties in walking.

Sarah was very excited to see that Archie was going along as well.

Great Auntie Polly gave Sarah a Winnie the Pooh Bear Fan, she was studying it seriously while pouting. She also received a red t-shirt which Great Auntie brought back from Nepal.
Her first taste of otah and she loved it. She loves spicy food just like mama.
After her otah appetitiser, she went to the kitchen and had lunch with great grand ma.
She was so well behaved, sitting quietly and feeding herself, something which she does not do at home.
After lunch, both mother and daughter were busy in the kitchen for different reasons.
Great grand ma insisted on giving Archie a red packet for good luck.
Sarah's hair is getting longer, she is looking more femine and pretty!

After Beach Rd, we went over to Marine Bowl to find Gong Gong. He is there every sunday with his bowling gang.

Sarah & Mummy

Sunday at the Park 25/04/2010

Brought Sarah down to the park for a walk on the sunny Sunday morning. As it has been pouring in the evening over the past week, we have not brought her outdoors for quite a while. She is very excited about going for a walk especially if the doggies are coming along as well.
Marching side by side with clubbie.
She is able to distinguish the different parts of our neighbourhood, she will say 'Play' and point to the particular direction when she wants to go to the playground.  There she is walking towards the playground with the dogs trying to keep up with her.

She looks to be in a hurry.
Going down her favourite spiral green slide at the playground.
Foot-reflexology
She is captivated by the group of uncles practicing martial arts at playground.
Doing some excerise to tone her triceps.

He ain't heavy, he's my brother

Sarah enjoys playing with her brother, she has been bugging us to let her carry Archie for a while. Today we granted her wish, with a little assistance from us of course. She was thrilled that she finally got the chance to carry him.
She was about to plant a kiss on Archie's cheeks.

Helping us to pat Archie to sleep, however her patting was rather forceful.

A photo with grand aunt!

The Great Eater Sarah

Despite nursing a badly swollen eye, her appetite has not been affected. Look at the size of her lunch serving.
In the late afternoon, we brought Archie to meet Granny Elizabeth for the first time. Sarah was excited and happy to visit her as well.

A closer look of her swollen eye. After applying the eye gel from the PD, the redness and swelling has subsided, but her eye is still much smaller.
Archie not knowing a thing yet.

Bitten!

She woke up this morning with a swell on her right upper eye lid. By the time we picked her up in the evening, the swelling had became worse. So We brought her & Archie both to the PD to get some ointment for her eye, Archie needed medication for his constipation. The poor siblings.

Archie's Day Out

Brought Archie out with us while we went hunting for some items for our next big project. Sarah had to stay in school, otherwise we would be spending all our time chasing her around the malls instead.

His eyes seems to have grown smaller instead of bigger, as you can see they are merely line size now.

He is easy to handle outside as he sleeps most of the time happily in his pram or baby carrier.

Monday Morning

Monday morning, getting Sarah ready for school has always been a challenge. If she is in a good mood, then it's a breeze. However, if she is in a grouchy mood, then we have to resort to bribery or forced evacuation. She is lucky that we are in a good mood today, we bribed her with her current favourite food, cheese. Once she hears the phrase 'You want cheese?', she will stop whatever she is doing and camp herself outside the fridge and starts the cheese chant.

The minute she gets her cheese, she will gobble them up, see picture below. We have to limit her to 2 slices per day as she has no limit and will come back begging, crying for more.

The dogs gets excited whenever they see her eating cheese.

Why? Because she like to share with them some of her cheese.

Mean while, Archie boy gets to sleep in on a Monday morning, how lucky. He is wearing the rompers from Great Aunt Gate & Aunt Jen.
He likes to make this ugly cute mouth shape
