River Cruise & Family Dinner

Was supposed to meet up with 舅公 Alan and family to celebrate his recovery from his operations. Since the dinner venue was at Novotel Clarke Quay, we decided to go early and let the kids take a boat ride down the Singapore river.

Tried out our new 2-in-1 pram carrier for the first time. Bought it with the intention of bringing it on overseas trip, for Archie. But Sarah saw and Sarah hogged. Then she was sulking in it, which I have no idea what her issues were.
Archie boy looked dashing in his white shirt and crew cut.
While waiting for the next boat, Pa had to walk the energetic boy to burn off his excessive energy.
Still grouchy.
The jetty where we embarked on our journey.
Sudden change in mood, flashing a megawatt smile now!
Archie was excited as we got ready to board.
Off we go!
The Hippo was packed to the brim, so we had to settle for a side seat, not too bad though, still got the full side view. As our legs were fully exposed, I had to worry about either the wriggly Archie or one of his shoes dropping into the river.
Sarah having a quiet moment.
The kids were quite well behaved while they enjoyed the river view.
Cruising into Boat Quay.
The whole Singapore River just look a bit different when you are looking at in from a boat, instead of being on the bank. Felt like a tourist, in my own country.
Archie did not fall asleep, the evening sun was just to glaring for him.
Opposite UOB.
The Fullerton Hotel.
A happy Mummy.

Into the Marina Bay and the Merlion came into view.
The strong breeze in the bay was most welcomed, especially on a warm afternoon.
The Marina Bay Sands.
Sarah excitedly pointing out to giant balls floating on the bay.
The national parade preview was on-going at the floating platform, we were too early for the fireworks.
Pa wanted a picture with his boy.
and his wife.
Challenging getting Archie to look into a camera, he usually gets restless after the first few shots.
But we managed to get both of them looking at the camera for our family portrait.
Sarah enjoying the company of Aunt Jen.
The little boy was getting hungry, so Ma had to dig out some biscuits for him.
Holding on to his precious water bottle.
Food!
Turning back to the CBD.
Nice shot of Sarah & Mama outside Empress Place, with the beautiful travellers' palms as back drop.
A river taxi passing by.
Back to Clarke Quay.
On our way to Liang Court, grouchy again!
However, the fountain brings joy!
The allure of the fountain, captivating all their attention
Shy boy? More likely to be biting his shirt or button.
Met up with Grand Uncle Alan at The Square for our dinner.
She had a great time, Grand Aunt Susan kept bringing her to the buffet spread to let her have her pick.

Yes, she had chocolate fondue. The residues all over her mouth are the evidence.
Archie cheering a toast.
With her favourite uncle, she is up to her antics again.
When being asked to give her photo shoot pose, that is what she gave us. (She had a photo shoot in school in the previous day.)
