Bei at 35 weeks

We are in the final month now, Bei will reach 35 weeks tomorrow.

Today's scan shows that he has grown to 2.28kg. The growth rate has not increased as much as in week 28-31, but the weight gain remains satisfactory. Dr Fong told us not to expect a big baby as Sarah was delivered at 2.44kg.

Bei at 28 weeks

Took a scan today, he has grown to 1.1kg! His facial structures, such as his nose, can be seen clearly now. He is very active today unlike the previous scan where he seems to be sleeping.

Bei at 24 weeks

Took a long while for us to capture a scan shot of him today. Did not manage to capture either a front or side view of him. But at least we can see that his spinal cord is developing well.

He is now 650 grams.

Gentialia: Male

Sarah is going to have a baby brother, his gender was confirmed after flo went for the detailed scan at TMC.

Actually we more or less know that this time its going to be a boy after the OSCAR scan about a month back. But at that time, his reproductive organs was not very defined and we only managed to catch a short glimpse of it. So we could not be 100% sure.

Mama asked Sarah on the morning of the scan, if she was going to have a 'didi' or 'meimei'. Normally she would go on babbling 'mei mei mei mei', this time she look like she was having a serious thought about it and she kept quiet.

Bei at 15.5 weeks

Brought forward our appointment with Dr Fong by a week, as Mama Flo noticed some signs of spotting. We decided not to take any risk and so we went to seek consultation with Dr Fong. Luckily he said its nothing serious, probably due to fatique and strain as we have been taking care of Sarah for the last four days.

We were hoping to be able to confirm Bei's gender, however as he wasn't moving much and his posture was not ideal, we could not see his genitals. We will just have to wait for the detailed scan scheduled four weeks later.

We were both very excited today, why? because we got to 'see' sarah again! she is different everytime we see her, growing bigger and bigger! today, we realised that the scan is no longer able to capture the whole of her as she has grown bigger. Her weight is 950 grams currently, up from 355 grams, 4 weeks ago. From what we managed to catch a glimpse of, her nose and lips are very well defined! Cant wait to see her again! its like a peep into your xmas present every time! xmas is in june this year!

For the first time~

hello world! this is Sarah at 5.5 months old. this is her most detailed scan to date, taken at thomson medical centre, on the 5th of february 2008.

sarah is still growing inside mama flo's womb and it is starting to get crampy for her inside there, so she protests occasionally by kicking and rolling around. when she does that, mama flo will complain to daddy, he will have to put his hand on her tummy to pacify sarah and her.

however, last week, sarah stopped kicking for a few days, and mama flo got worried, very worried. mama flo kept talking to sarah, asking her to kick. thankfully, sarah heard her pleas and started kicking again. from that day onwards, mama flo doesnt complain about the kicking anymore.
