Gentialia: Male

Sarah is going to have a baby brother, his gender was confirmed after flo went for the detailed scan at TMC.

Actually we more or less know that this time its going to be a boy after the OSCAR scan about a month back. But at that time, his reproductive organs was not very defined and we only managed to catch a short glimpse of it. So we could not be 100% sure.

Mama asked Sarah on the morning of the scan, if she was going to have a 'didi' or 'meimei'. Normally she would go on babbling 'mei mei mei mei', this time she look like she was having a serious thought about it and she kept quiet.

Bei at 16 weeks

Went to see Dr Fong again, even though we were not supposed to see him for another 3 weeks. Mama was feeling terrible the whole morning, she was also worried about the lack of movement from bei.

Took another scan, Dr Fong said everything was fine. We should not be expecting foetus movement for another month! haha.

Bei at 15.5 weeks

Brought forward our appointment with Dr Fong by a week, as Mama Flo noticed some signs of spotting. We decided not to take any risk and so we went to seek consultation with Dr Fong. Luckily he said its nothing serious, probably due to fatique and strain as we have been taking care of Sarah for the last four days.

We were hoping to be able to confirm Bei's gender, however as he wasn't moving much and his posture was not ideal, we could not see his genitals. We will just have to wait for the detailed scan scheduled four weeks later.

To do list for this weekend.

after ding donging for months, we finally decided to choose private cord blood banking over public, we want to settle the registration by this weekend. a bit more of room makeover to do as well, re-arranging and packing, thus the need to run down to toyogo warehouse again. hopefully we can pick up some bargains at the takashimaya baby fair.

new bed!

did another makeover to our room despite the last makeover being slightly more than a year ago only! decided to get rid of the space gobbling platform bed and get something more simple and compact, the ikea hemidal bed. flo thinks it looks like a hospital bed though. lol.

now we have much more walking space in our room, as well as cot space. thus the saturday was gone.

on sunday, managed to grab a braun ear thermometer for sarah, while loitering around marina mall before wai kim's wedding. flo is happy that she got a new dress, new bedsheet, new pillow case and new bolster case.


the food at the wedding was very good, the best i had in a while. cod steak :0~. the cold dish was excellent, crunchy suckling pig, tender roast duck. :0~

Baby Update!!!

sarah's kick is so powerful now, that with 1 kick she can wake flo up in the middle of the night. quite an amazing feat if you ask me, she is the only one who can kick flo up and get away with it. 90 days to go!

Scan @ 10 March 2008

We were both very excited today, why? because we got to 'see' sarah again! she is different everytime we see her, growing bigger and bigger! today, we realised that the scan is no longer able to capture the whole of her as she has grown bigger. Her weight is 950 grams currently, up from 355 grams, 4 weeks ago. From what we managed to catch a glimpse of, her nose and lips are very well defined! Cant wait to see her again! its like a peep into your xmas present every time! xmas is in june this year!

Busy busy busy

had a very busy weekend.

spent the whole saturday shopping for containers at toyogo, then went home to pack the baby stuffs neatly into the storeroom. due to the limited amount of space in our room, we are embarking on some major reshuffle/makeover; which is a big no no according to fervent followers of the chinese customs.

on sunday, the whole family, including our two furkids, went to pay respect to sarah's granny elizabeth, it was the eve of her birthday. we told her that on our next visit, she will be able to see sarah. :). love passing by the lawn cemetry, where there are lots of toy windmills spinning carefreely.

rest of the day was spent on packing and more packing, made another trip down to toyogo as we ran out of containers. we are still not done. more busy weekends to come!!!!! :0

For the first time~

hello world! this is Sarah at 5.5 months old. this is her most detailed scan to date, taken at thomson medical centre, on the 5th of february 2008.

sarah is still growing inside mama flo's womb and it is starting to get crampy for her inside there, so she protests occasionally by kicking and rolling around. when she does that, mama flo will complain to daddy, he will have to put his hand on her tummy to pacify sarah and her.

however, last week, sarah stopped kicking for a few days, and mama flo got worried, very worried. mama flo kept talking to sarah, asking her to kick. thankfully, sarah heard her pleas and started kicking again. from that day onwards, mama flo doesnt complain about the kicking anymore.
