F1 Fever comes to Town

The racing enthusiasts of Bishan CC organised a F1 Theme event to coincide with the F1 race that was in town.

There was remote car racing for the kids to experience.
Monkeying while queuing up for her turn to 'drive'.
Watch out! Noob on the road!
Looking good! (On the straight only)

Archie's turn.

There was a replica F1 car outside the event hall.

 Balloons makes great party atmosphere.
Apart from racing cars, they got to race 'dogs' too!
The 'shy' elephant!
There was cheap beer on the tap, soft drinks for the kids, free screening of The Avengers on the mega LED screen. A great event for the residents.

The Bus Inspector

He found a strategic spot to view the buses.

Dome Day

Sarah followed Pa to his company outing to the Gardens by the Bay.

The Return of the Merlion

After the several months of refurbishment, the Merlion was spouting once more.

The STPB held an event over the weekend to celebrate it's 40th Birthday, there was laser and light show to accompany a video presentation.
All set and ready, whenever the wind direction was no in our favour, the 'saliva' of the Merlion would be blowing into our face!
Archie just finished his chocolate mousse which we brought along from Grin Affair.
Looking good at 40, no sign of mid life crisis.
A projection screen set up on the bay to broadcast stories of the Merlion and the Singapore River.
The locals and the tourists all came to pay tribute to the mutant.
Some 'ritual' dance, no offerings were made though.
 Their turn on the runway!
The blue light makes them look 'Avatar-ish'
Nice backdrop.
The laser light from MBS was scanning Archie's retina.
