Jurong Bird Park

Made a trip to Jurong Bird Park, we brought Sarah here in 2009, this time with Archie.
We were greeted by Bird Park staffs in tuxedoes, made us felt like VIPs (see pic below).
As it was the Deepavali weekend, there was a corner in the park to celebrate the occasion. Sarah reluctantly put on the sari, under the persuasive powers of Mama
臭脸!
Straight face girl!
That's better!
She got to try doing imprinting with colourful powder as well.
Going green!
A Pa & Sarah's collaboration.
Bumped into the park mascot! Archie was attracted by his feathers and kept stroking it.
Sarah was as pink as the pink flamingos!
Ostrich spotting.
At the loft, a lorry parked on Ma's shoulder.
Pa was very popular with the lories.
The trick to instant popularity, food.
There is even one perched on his head!
Archie receiving some pointers from the park rangers about feeding the lories.
She was quite apprehensive about going near to one, in fact, she is worried and scared about everything new / unfamiliar.
She looked worried.
Took some family photos with the bridges inside the loft.
That's all folks, did not cover the whole park as we had a lunch appointment! Good bye Bird Park!

Yong Tou Fu Night

Our favourite Yong Tou Fu Night! Sarah got to take stars & animal shapes fish cake.

Mac-kers

Brought the kids to try out the new submerged boardwalk. Was thinking of bringing them for a swim, but the sky was overcast, so we ended up here instead.
Shorter than I expected, just 50 metres length perhaps?
She was game to have her feet wet.
Ana helped us to take a family portrait.
Splash!
He was not too comfortable with stepping on the sand
Time for a free hair wash!
So many boys, which to choose from? A dilemma for Sarah.
Playing hide and seek with Pa.
Roaming the world with Pa.
End of the road?
She excitedly claimed that she could open the gate.
Just by pulling back the door latch. However she did not notice that there was a chain around the gate, so her attempt to gatecrash us in was unsuccessful.
Finally the scooter is put to use. Pa was carrying it all the time!
What's new?
She has discovered the new world!
Over there!
So this is where we unleash the floodgate.
Sweaty head but still leading the charge.
Speed walker!
I found my long lost sibling!
Reunion time!
Then they turned and fell, Sarah fell on him and he hit the back of his head on the interlocking block! Poor boy!
Happy ending still.
Now to play with water, to wash away his bad luck!
She needed to wash her away her sandal's bad luck.
Having fun.
Both of them got really wet, luckily we were not too far from home.
