Happy Teachers' Day 2010

We bought presents for Sarah's teachers and caretakers in appreciation for the good work that they have done. Mama stayed up to wrap the presents into one big pink bundle and Sarah was assigned with bringing it to school.
There was a thank you note that Papa made attached to the present.

Sarah carefully escorting the present to the gates of the school.

Miss Melissa was on morning duty, she accepted the present on behalf all the staffs.

and a hug as well.

Hunting down the clock.

Our hunt for the family clock spilled over to Sunday, we decide to extend our search to Flood land aka Orchard Rd.

Saw a few clocks but not THE clock, could not feel a connection with the clocks! But Sarah found something, her wonderland. The toys department at Taka.

Even the seats outside the toilet looked like wonderland.
Then she bumped into an inflatable robot.
She must be in wonderland, for there was an extensive selection of Barney toys, she had her hands full!
After we persuaded her to 放生, release Barney, BJ & Babybob. We went to try our luck at Tangs, no luck still. So we decided to stop for lunch.

The girls were still full of energy and smile radiantly for the camera.
The boys looked tired, disoriented and in a daze.
Sarah was all ready for lunch! She demanded for spoon and fork from the obliging waiter. She was going through her pre-meal ritual by weaving the cutlery vigorously.
Warming up her jaw muscle by simulating food intake and chewing.
For once she is gracious, sipping her drink through the straw demurely.
But that did not last long, she was back to her antics.
Archie was tired, so he decided to forgo lunch and headed straight for the siesta.
That's all we could afford, a plate of nasi lemak.
Sarah needed no second invitation to get going.
She looked grumpy as Papa did not refill her bowl and was only concentrating on eating his lunch.
Once Papa was prompted and did the necessary, she was ok again.
She sure had a fulfilling lunch as she ate 2/3 of the nasi lemak.
After lunch, it was time for some hat-tricks.
Looking pretty.
The drink sure look tasty.

Time for some work out to burn those calories. The toy's department was just outside the restaurant, we had a hard time getting her off the slide. We almost had to drag her out of the departmental store.
Her fetish with hats continues.
The girl was tired and had a long long nap when she reached home

It's a great world after all!

The family went out shopping together at Great World City. There was only one mission, to clock hunt. We have been living without a clock in the house for over 2 months. Nothing has caught our eyes so far, and nothing at Great World too.

Sarah has been wearing her pair of crocs for the longest time, we' been wanting to get a better pair of shoes for her. But getting her to try on shoes has thus proved to be very challenging. When we walked past a shop selling toddler shoes, I casually asked her if she wanted to choose a pair. She stood in front of the display and she picked one! We quickly brought her inside to sit down and try on the shoes!

This is the pair that she picked.
This is the pair that Papa picked.

She was so happy after she put on the pair that she picked, she was jumping all around, when she realised that there was a mirror to look at, she was overjoyed! Whats with woman and shoes?

In the end, we went with the pair that she picked as it look more comfortable on her and, anyway, she refused to take it off.

Sarah and the King crab. She was fascinated with the size of the crab living in a tank of a seafood restaurant.

Mama trying to snap a family portrait, Sarah was only interested in looking at her own reflection though.

We walked into a kid's shop loaded with toys, the first thing that she did was to pick up a box of jig saw, and proclaimed loudly 'I want to pay money!'. -_-"

Luckily that's the only thing that she wanted to pay money for, we managed to distract her by asking her to go for a test drive.

Looks like she didn't fancied the tricycle much, Papa didn't fancy the price tag either.

As we walked to the atrium, she was offered a balloon, of cos she grabbed it with both hands.

Mama trying to take a pic of the kiddos with Papa, Archie boy was sleeping.

While we were snapping away, we were snapped by a tourist from behind. He did approached us later and showed Mama his master piece. Sarah was looking at him warily as he was talking to Mama.

We finally got a family portrait after Mama approached the sales person at the car show. The mannequin is not part of the family though.

Sarah showing off her new shoes, taken just before we make our way home for dinner.

Archie got a taste of the balloon.

Although we did not managed to find our clock, it was a fun family outing.

Torticollis & Rehab

Archie went for his rehab at Mt A today, he was diagnosed with torticollis during his checkup with the PD. We decided to sent him to rehab as we could learning the proper technique to help him. Today was the second session plus review.
Papa helping Archie to stretch his neck muscles before the session commenced.
After one week of stretching, his right torticollis has become the left torticollis! :| He is now tilting slightly to the right, even the physio commented that this is the first time she has come across such an incident.

The therapist examining the tightness of his neck muscles.

After that he was put through a series of neck excercises.

We have to go back in two weeks time for a review. Hopefully his neck can be aligned to the neutral postion by then!
