Sarah's First Birthday Party

Sarah held her first birthday party on Saturday, 30th May 2009. its actually four days before her birthday, the reason for the early party, was because her birthday happens to fall on a weekday, so it would be quite impossible for us to do a party for her.

there she is, posing with the balloons before the guests started arriving!
the double bubble balloon was her favourite, we even brought it home after the party.
she seems to enjoy driving, grandma, grandpa, mama and gugu all fed coins to the machine so that she could prolong the joy ride!
thats mama, always trying to doll up sarah regardless of location.
she had enjoyed herself in the pool of balls, as did her friends, jaythan and jayvier.

hiro rushed down to the party just for sarah! what a great pal!

in the end, despite the valiant efforts of jaythan, who tried his best, the pinata was still in tact. so sarah's godpa, stanley, had the honour of breaking the pinata into two! but once the pinata broke, the kids all rushed happily towards the candies which were raining from the pinata.

the unveiling of sarah's first birthday cake, which had taken on a garden concept, the no.1 was depicted as the blue/green sky. the girl sitting on the lawn is sarah and our two dachshunds clubbie and chacho, are in the garden as well!

being the ever gracious host, sarah was sending off her guests with hugs at end of her party.

there she is standing beside the excer-saucer, the girl besides her is clarissa. sarah, despite being much smaller than clarissa, is always fighting for toys with her! such a fiesty little girl we have!

sarah goes trolley-ing

a routine trip to the supermarket, but sarah got her first ride in a super mart trolley. dont think she likes it much, maybe the seat is too hard or the metal handles are too cold for her liking.

Chor Chor's birthday

we celebrated chor chor's birthday by going over to her place to have steamboat lunch with her.

sarah was in good spirits as she had just woken up from a two hour long nap.

she kept mumbling 'papa papa' in the lift until mama couldnt take it and put a finger over her lips.

over at chor chor's place, sarah soon found things to keep herself occupied, sorting through mama's mails.

she was passing the mails piece by piece to anna, and when anna returned them to her, she would repeat the same routine again happily!


this is sarah's first birthday present to her chor chor, a photograph of her and chor chor put into a frame.

chor chor seems to like the present!

while waiting for lunch to be served, mama put sarah through some walking practice session. she seems to have gained much more confidence in walking, nowadays she is more willing to attempt to walk whenever we hold her by her hands.


after our sumptous lunch, sarah joined in to help chor chor blow out the candle on her birthday cake!

sarah was enjoying herself at the party, crawling and crusing happily around the sofa.



havent seen erlyna for months! she is a big girl now and has grown prettier!



before you start dialling 999 and report for child abuse, she is not being beaten in the last photo, just throwing tantrums after she did not get her way.

didnt manage to capture any shots of little wayne, as he was sleeping so peacefully.
