A trip to Central Fire Station

We took the train down to City Hall to meet up with 姨姨 and 姨婆.

The two kids waiting excitedly for their arrival, we were much earlier than the meet up time as Papa overestimated the traveling time.
For once, Archie is the cheeky one.
After we met up, we strolled to the fire station. There was already a guided tour on-going when we reached there, so we tagged along with the group.

Sarah wanted to try on the protective face gear  but she was shy.
Luckily for us, our guide was very patient and gave her extra attention as she was the only girl.
Looking stressed.
Looking worried!
Almost done!
Fire fighter Sarah!
Archie boy found the demonstration just a bit too dry to his liking.
Next, we got to take a peep inside the big red machines.
Sarah with our nice friendly guide.
Then we wandered around the parade square, looking at all other different types of vehicles used for various emergencies.
Time for a group shot, and out of the sudden she suffered a bout of separation anxiety.
Archie navigating his way through the mist, still too dry for him.
Sarah still trying to recover from her separation anxiety.
A little hydro therapy did the treat, she got an attempt with the fire hose. The boys casting envious glances, even though everyone got to go once.
He is interested now.
Got to play with the steering wheel of one of the fire engine.

Well, she is in the driving seat, our fates are in her hands.
Pole dancing from our guide.
She is still glued to the driving seat.
A decent family shot of us, thanks to Aunt Jen.
A great photo taken for all of us.
Time for the fire drill display, everyone sat excitedly at the opposite end of the parade square.
For some reasons, Sarah seemed worried.
Archie was restless.
The fire drill got on the way.
The firemen slided down the pole upon the wailing of the siren and ran to the fire engine. Upon reaching the 'fire scene', they would set up the hose in a flash and direct the water canon at the raging flame.
After our guided tour and the fire drill, we went to the fire station museum to enjoy the exhibits along with the air con.

Mama bought Sarah a fire man hat, she needed no second invitation to put it on.
Ryoji and Sarah with their hats.
Ryoji afraid that his hat would fly away, Sarah with a silly grin.
Sarah is more worried about her fringe not looking good!
Now for the full suit, Aunt Jen giving her a hand.
Looking good.
A very pretty fire fighter.
Archie joining in the clowning act.
Sarah excited to see her brother having the same hat.
Its party time!
Solo.
After the dance, time for some more relaxing activity, such as sketching.
She is so good she can even sketch without looking, Archie boy, by the side, making sure that she does not cheat.
In the end, she decided its easier without the hat.
A beautiful end product, by Aunt Jen.
Now for some more photo shooting at the outdoors.
A very nice red spiral staircase at the back of the museum.
Time to ring the bell.
One final family shot before we bid adieu to the station.
See you next time Central Fire Station!
We were in such a hurry to our lunch venue because we were so hungry!
We had our dim sum lunch at Wah Lok.
The dim sum was excellent.
Archie was busy screaming away the whole time, making us very busy.
Well, needless to say, she enjoyed her food.
After eating, she started playing peek a boo with Archie, making use of the curtain, he went hysterical.
After our heavy lunch, we took a cab home, while waiting for the lift to go up to our flat, I took a picture of poor Archie boy's insect bites.
Sarah felt for her brother, what a nice big sister.
