Transitional Week

Despite the smile on her face, it's been a tough week for her. She is still traumatised by what was done by her previous teacher. She has to leave behind all her good friends whom she grew up together with and be parachuted into a new environment with no familiar faces. She has been crying every morning when we dropped her at the school. Although we leave her with heavy hearts, at least we are sure that she is in safe hands and not subjected to bullying.

Today, she finally got her new set of uniform, that perked her up a bit, she is no longer the odd one out in school, wearing home clothes. However, she got into a playground accident the previous night. Seeing that she was not in the best of mood, I thought of cheering her up by bring her to the playground after school. An elder boy fell near her and his teeth sank into her forehead, as a result, she got a laceration. It was a small cut however it was deep, blood was gushing down from her forehead and she got freaked out. The wound is still fresh, hence we put a plaster on to prevent further exposure to bacteria and her hair from sticking onto the wound, which has started to swell.

Better days ahead!
