he lifted the gloomy clouds, the million tons on our shoulder evaporated. He has finally overcome his battle with his fever. He had been running temperature over the 38s throughout the weekend, the stubborn mercury simply refused to budge despite the nudge from the paracetamol. We were so worried about him, he was already worn down by bronchitis and suddenly he got a fever, just as Sarah recovered. Panic calls to his PD for advices, sleepless night to nurse him and towel him to make him feel more comfortable. We felt helpless, nothing seems to work. We were comtemplating to admit him to the hospital so that he could be under 24 hours professional care, but then again constant exposure to other bacteria/virus lurking in the wards? We were tired, worried, stressed out, on the verge of breaking down.
Miraculously, on Sunday evening, he felt cool for the first time, no more feeling like a hot potato every time we carried him. He was coo-ing and smiling at his toys and when mummy played with him, he gave a loud chuckle. He is happy again, after such a long while! He is not fully well yet, but the signs are positive. His chuckle has rejuvenated us.
