Sarah's attempt to try an ice blended drink

Before we went over to chor chor's place for her birthday lunch, we dropped by ABC market to buy some food to bring over.

As the weather was scorching, papa bought an ice blended lychee drink to quench his thirst. sarah was curious and kept staring, we put the straw in her mouth, she still doesnt know how to use a straw, but she found the act amusing and was grinning cheekily away.

First trip to Mac

sarah made her first trip to mac and got to try their hotcakes.

she got very excited when the food was served in front of her, kept trying to snatch the whole tray to herself!.

waiting impatiently for mama to prepare her share

in the end, she managed to squeeze 3/4 of a hotcake into her tiny stomach.

my playpen

we have great difficulties in keeping up with sarah's boundless energy, she is a body in perpetual motion, always crawling to wherever that interests her, the object/toy will captivate her attention for a good old 5 minutes, after which she is off chasing her new interest.

this weekend, mama got her a playpen. so that her energies are confined with a safe playing area, and her poor old folks doesnt have to strain their creaking backs chasing after her.

there are toys are the side of the panel to keep her engaged.

she was playing happily in her playpen, walking round and round the perimeter, until an intruder encroached into her space!

Coming to a year

time flies, in a couple of week, sarah will be celebrating her first birthday! below are some photos taken at 11 month old.

she still look baby-ish, maybe its due to her small frame and short hair. but her features have definitely become more defined, more toddler like when compared to her photos a few months back.

sarah celebrates mother's day again and again

sarah got to celebrate mother's day the third time in two days, this time the celebration is for grandma.

the dinner was at a restaurant that looks like it has never changed since the 70s. together with the whole ambience of its vicinity, we felt like we had time travel 20 years back.

they served teochew cusine here, and they do it very well. the goose meat is fatty and tender, one of the best we have ever tasted. we also loved the way they cooked the beancurd, which has a very unique taste. the steamed pomfret was huge and tasted very fresh.

after two days of feasting, even sarah was getting tired of eating

or was she?

with that we concluded our two days marathon celebrations for mother's day! finally my stomach can rest.

sarah celebrates mother's day again

sarah got to celebrate mother's day a second time, this time on the actual's day, at a lunch celebration for her great grandma.

she looks happy, maybe because she knows that she gets to eat as well?

she is not yawning, just sending flying kiss halfheartedly

mama flo serves the food to a happy sarah

this is what we ate at lao beijing, must say the taste of the food exceeded our expectation, was expecting another run of the mill xiao long bao restaurant. the sweet and sour fish was the best of the lot.

the labelling of the food stops here, and i was too busy with sarah and didnt 'studied' the menu.
