While on the way back home after visiting Great Grand Ma on Sunday, we noticed Sarah scratching her chin area non-stop. On closer look, we saw a red patch and some dots.
By night fall, the rashes had spread all over her upper body, particularly concentrated on both her upper limbs and front torso. She felt uncomfortable and itchy, woke up a few times in the middle of the night crying. We managed to calm her down by spreading some prickly heat powder on her to soothe her itchiness.
The next morning, Mama decided to bathe her before going to the clinic so that she would feel more comfortable. When she saw the red dots over her body, she was visibly upset over it.
The PD diagnosed her red dots as an allergic reaction. The exact cause was unknown, could have ben the otah, the friendly neighbourhood dog, or others. Our whole family bar Archie had the same allergic reaction as her, but her outbreak was the worst.
She was not in the best of mood the whole morning. Upset over her body and over the visit to the clinic, as she fears injection after her rounds of vaccinations.
When we brought her to school, after the PD gave the clearance. She stood there pouting while Mama was explaining to the teachers about her situation. She broke down and cried in the middle of it all, she understood what Mama was talking about and felt lousy about herself.
Thankfully a day of medication, the rashes have subsided, not as red but still visible.
