Being foolish and flu-ish

sarah has been bugged by flu all week. currently she is very attached to her pacifier and has to sleep with it in her mouth every night.

one night, i was awakened by her cries, apparently she wanted to carry on sucking her pacifier even though her nose was blocked, thus she couldnt breathe. she must have been either frightened or annoyed with herself, but when i took out the pacifier for her, she wasnt too grateful, because she couldn't have her pacifier! -_-" in the end, mummy had to pacify her by carrying her around for a while.

recently, her nose blocked became worse, so we decided to take her to visit dr edmund.

at the recommendation of dr edmund, we opted to let him perform a suction procedure to the nostril and the throat, this is to remove all the phlegms that are cloating up. before the procedure could be carried out, i had to carry her onto the treatment bed and then swaddled her with a towel so as to minimise her movement. the silly girl must have thought it was going to be something fun, as she was looking pretty excited. i also had to place my palms at each side of her cheek to prevent her from turning away from the suction tube. once the tube was being inserted, her face immediately turned red, much like a tomato! she let out intermittent loud cries, but stopped the minute the tube was removed. such a brave little girl! she looked more angry than frightened to us.

our little girl has now grown to 6.64kg.
