after dr fong heard from us that sarah has not been moving much for the past few days, he gave us a worried look and told us that it is not a good sign as sarah might not be receiving enough blood and nutrients via the placenta, thus she is not growing and moving much. dr fong then suggested conducting a fetal actocardiograph test. If the results confirms her inactiveness, sarah will be induced to birth as she has already reached full term.
Its a non-intrusive test to monitor sarah's movement, heartbeat and uterine contraction. upon hearing that, we were naturally worried about her while waiting to take the test and during the test, which takes 20mins. thankfully, her results are positive, her movements and heartbeats are still good! way to go sarah! dr fong told us not to worry about her weight, but to continue monitoring her movements. we are going back to see him again this coming monday. till then flo has to monitor sarah's kicking movements every morning.
boo hoo hoo.. sob sob sob... i still cannot belive that she put on so little when i have a 1.2kg gain over the last 2 weeks. was so condident that she would hit 2.8 or even 3kg. sigh. yet when i put on only 200g previously, she actually gained 600g. in any case, sarah is going to be tiny gal.
ReplyDeletejust tried to count her movment. hey, she acheived 10 movements within 6 mins. guess dr fong was right when he said that i may not have felt sarah's movements in the day especially at work. way to go, sarah darling! daddy n mommy know you will do fine. we love you so......
